Project Syndicate names World’s Forward Thinkers

Alberto Alemanno named among Project Syndicate’s 2025 World’s Forward Thinkers.

Project Syndicate has just announced its World’s Forward Thinkers list, highlighting 30 individuals from around the world who are shaping critical conversations on everything from climate policy to the future of democracy. Alberto Alemanno was named among these individuals for being one of the leading voices on the democratisation of the European Union.

The initiative is part of Project Syndicate’s broader effort to spotlight emerging voices offering fresh perspectives in a time of mounting global uncertainty. The selected thinkers come from diverse sectors – including academia, policymaking, civil society, and business – and were chosen for their ability to challenge conventional wisdom, address misinformation, and offer insight into rapidly evolving global trends.

Each of the selected individuals is recognized not just for their expertise, but for their growing influence in public discourse, both within their home countries and on the international stage. In a time when fact-based analysis is under pressure, Project Syndicate’s Forward Thinkers list aims to amplify the kinds of voices that will help shape the debates of the coming years.
